The immense hype that surrounded the launch of New World might have died down a bit, there are still plenty of people playing the Amazon Games MMORPG. The popularity among big streamers does seem to have dropped tremendously, with Shroud as one of the only big streamers still invested in the game.
With the December update coming soon, Micheal “shroud” Grzesiek says he’s looking forward to the new content but added that if this update were to be less than stellar, it could mark the beginning of the end for the game.
Shroud thinks New World is still the best MMORPG to play at this time and has already stated before that he’ll keep playing the game, no matter what issues it may face.
Up until the most recent update, shroud was very positive about the updates and bug fixes. Notably, he was very happy Amazon Games was “getting their act together” in the November update.
However, Patch 1.1 introduced a plethora of new bugs. Now the December update will decide on the future of the game, according to Grzesiek.
“If there’s another update with more bugs and exploits and sh*t, people are going to lose their mind,” he said. “They’re going to lose it. They’ve got to come out clean with it, or else it’s GG.”
The December update is already live on the Public Test Realm, and it should take a few weeks until Amazon Games is certain the update is ready to ship.
