One of the biggest requests of the community was to change up the PPSh after it became one (if not the) strongest weapon in the game following the start of the newest season. Some players and streamers have even called it the strongest gun in the game, ever. According to the developers the SMG featured higher damage numbers than intended and they decided to balance it out in the newest patch.
Another change in this current patch can be found in the Gulag, where you’ll no longer be able to use stun grenades during your 1 versus 1 matches. Instead the developers elected to have Gas Grenades, Medical Syringes and Thermite laying around as equipment. Stun Grenades did make the Gulag pretty one-sided at times and would take the fairness out of the duel and added a factor of random chance, which was undesirable.
Finally Raven Software also revealed a whole list of bug fixes they’ve been working on. These included visual updates to some of the weapons and camo which didn’t function properly, as well as fixing some collision issues. You can read up on the full list of changes on the website of Raven Software.
