New World to release new servers and character transfers to cope with long queues
The long awaited release of New World has led to massive queues and server stability issues for many players. With queues reaching more than 10,000 players regularily, it was clear that Amazon Games had to step in.
In a Tweet on October 1, the developers laid out their plans to fix the problems:

Character transfers to come
The player reception so far has exceeded their expectation and they are doing their best to cope with the massive numbers. According to the developers they already doubled the amount of servers and are also increasing server capacity across the board.

They have also implemented new servers without queues that allow you to start without waiting. Amazon Games strongly recommend players to use these as they will offer character transfers at a later date to let friends reunite later down the road. It is unclear yet when and how the transfers will be implemented but the developers have put it as their top priority.
