OG welcomes niko as permanent member of CS:GO roster
Esports organization OG has announced that their CS:GO roster will be joined by Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen, who is leaving his current team Heroic.
Niko has been on the bench over at Heroic for almost a month, as he is now joining up with OG. He’s been used as a stand-in for the organization during the Dreamhack Masters Spring closed qualifier and ESL Pro League Season 13, which surely helped things along, as he takes up a vacant spot that was left by Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt who was moved to the bench last month.

In an official statement released by OG niko talks about his new position in the starting line-up of the roster. “I’m happy to announce that I have signed for OG. It’s an amazing opportunity for me and I’m sure we’re going to achieve great things together.” Team captain Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen is also looking forward to working together. “In a short amount of time he has really impressed me, especially with how selfless he is and how he communicates with the team. Even though we have a lot to work on, our first task is to try our best in the EPL Groupstage.”
Signing niko hasn’t solved all problems for OG however, as they are still one player short of a full roster after benching Issa “ISSAA” Murad. Chances are OG will find a new player soon as they start up tryouts.
