Opinion: Epic Games, why are you stealing from other creators?
In the game mode you’re assigned a role, being either an agent or an imposter and it’s the job of the Agents to keep The Bridge safe and running, while the Imposters on the other hand are trying their best to sabotage everything they can get their hands on without being caught out. So yes, it’s just Among Us, but in Fortnite. Oh, and there is no voice chat, just text chat.
The Bridge is under attack!
Will you ensure the safety and security of The Bridge… or follow Jones’ footsteps and sabotage the Imagined Order from within?
There’s a debate to be had about the implementation of certain game modes in big games by big studios and still remaining original. It’s one thing to copy stuff like in-game mechanics, but when you’re just blatantly taking over an entire theme or concept, you should be held responsible. Among Us is an indie game made by Innersloth, that found themselves with a smash hit on their hands. If Epic Games really wanted to implement something similar to Among Us in Fortnite, why just not reach out to Innersloth and set up a crossover event? It’d benefit both parties.
It’s just ludicrous that we’re seeing Fortnite have crossovers with things like the NBA and Ariana Grande, million dollar advertising deals no doubt, but they can’t just reach out their hand to a smaller developer and work out a deal? You’ll have to do better Epic Games, because this ain’t it.
