Players aren’t enjoying Shipment anymore – ask for changes

With the announcement that Shipment would get a rework to be put in Call of Duty: Vanguard, fans were over the moon. But that excitement seems to have faded away, rather quickly.

Although the latest iteration in the Call of Duty franchise is trying to take the game in a new direction, old classics and fan favorites continue to get updates so fans can enjoy some familiar maps.

Despite all the love that Shipment gets from the fanbase, this version seems to have divided the community.

Players are calling out the World War 2 version of the map for having awful spawns and too many Incendiary Grenades. The small spaces and chaos are all part of the map’s appeal, but with players spawning with three Incendiaries, the fun has long gone for some players.

In this case, the size is actively working against the fun and chaos it normally brings. Unfavorable spawns can lead to death cam after death camp.

A post in the CODVanguard subreddit asking the question if the spawn system has gotten worse sparked some debate. Some players continue to see the fun in the issue. “Made some terrific friends. I spawn in with the enemy team, we have cake and tea, then we sit and chat a while before all 8 of them shoot me in the face.,” someone said.

Other players are saying this Vanguard chaos is in fact part of the allure of Shipment. “Stop complaining about shipment. That’s shipment, always been like that and always will. If you don’t like it play another map.”
