During the latest Pokémon Presents Sylveon and Mamoswine were confirmed as new upcoming Pokémon in Pokémon UNITE. While we got to see a small trailer of both Pokémon in action, fighting their way through the jungle camps and other Pokémon on the map, not a lot of information on either one was revealed. Their release date was also brushed aside, saying they’ll be coming “in a future update”.
Mamoswine is a bulky Ground/Ice type and judging from the gameplay we saw during the trailer, he looks to be a disruptive tank, capable of pushing and throwing enemies aside. He’ll likely boast high defenses and attack, but will painfully lack in movement. Sylveon on the other hand is a fairy type and she boasts at least on AOE ability and ranged attacks, which might mean she’ll be a new ranged attacker.
It’s currently still unclear what this means for Blastoise, who is also still scheduled to hit the game. With Blissey being added recently, it seems Blastoise is still on the back burner for now, but we should get more information about him soon. During the Pokémon Presents we also got the release date for the mobile version of the game, which you can read up on here.
