Riot Games investigating Reginald for workplace misconduct
TSM CEO Andy “Reginald” Dinh is under investigation by Riot Games for allegedly verbally abusing multiple players. In an interview with WIRED, Riot officials stated that the investigation has gone underway.
“We are aware of the allegations made about the CEO/owner of TSM,” officials released in their statement, “As the league operator, we have engaged the law firm of O’Melveny & Myers LLP to conduct an independent investigation into claims of misconduct made against the leader of this team, in accordance with standard league process.”
The investigation supposedly began near the end of 2021, after several former players came out with allegations. Former TSM Bottom Laner Doublelift was the most notable source, voicing his disdain for Reginald and condemning his treatment of players. The former LCS Champion claimed “many of your favorite familiar faces in the LCS legit mental breakdown because of how badly they were getting berated—how badly they were just getting verbally assaulted,”
Other players and employees have corroborated Doublelift’s claims, referring to TSM as “a culture of fear” in the official WIRED report. Several cases of employee harassment include calling TSM employees ‘worthless’ and attempting to make examples of individuals by berating them in front of an audience.
Reginald claimed that he is aware of his leadership issues, stating he is “working to improve the way communicates with team and those around .” While the results of the investigation are pending, TSM have reportedly also launched its own internal probe into the matter.
