While being a hotly contested pick in high elo games, the champion has one of the lowest win rates of all junglers.
Riot Games now has detailed the changes they’re bringing to The Pridestalker. Phlow, one of the developers has tweeted about the upcoming changes to Rengar in the Public Beta Environment (PBE) on Monday. Phlox quickly added that the team is open to tuning the changes and that there is no set release date for the live servers.
The jungler will undergo changes to three of his abilities. Next to Battle Roar (W) and Bola Strike (E), his passive Unseen Predator will see changes as well.
According to Phlox, the goal of these changes is to “ease pain points and open up Rengar jungle” to make him more appealing for lower elo players.
The number of stacks on Unseen Predator will be lowered to three, as opposed to four right now. In an attempt to avoid Rengar players starting generating ferocity stacks by jumping from the bush, no stacks will be created if stacks are on 0.
The falloff time will increase to 10 seconds and change the movement speed buff from the empowered abilities. The ability will grant a lower percentage movement speed to balance out the duration increase to three seconds.
Battle Roar will no longer heal when Rengar is not empowered but will grant armor and magic resist. To counteract how easily Rengar can cleanse crowd control, the empowered buff will no longer do that, making it easier to punish a Rengar that jumps in recklessly.
Bola Strike will reveal enemies for two seconds and cast time will be removed when you leap through the passive or ultimate.
