Riot Games’ FPS VALORANT might be getting its very own mobile game version, as the developer is reportedly working on an Android and iOS version.
The mobile gaming market has grown immensely over the years, with titles such as PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty Mobile having great success all over the world. According to a recent – unconfirmed – leak, Riot Games might be working on a mobile version of VALORANT which is to be released on Android and iOS. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time Riot ventured into the mobile landscape, with games such as League of Legends: Wild Rift and TFT.
Dataminers have supposedly found mobile controls within the game’s code with a focus on touchscreen control, which seems to point in the direction of a mobile VALORANT version. Another leaker proposed that the version might be revealed during the upcoming E3 2021 event, which is in little over a month. Riot Games themselves have not confirmed or commented on any of the findings.
If Riot Games is really working on a mobile version for VALORANT, the game might be poised for great success. With Wild Rift being as successful as it is, with League of Legends lovingly ported to mobile, and the popularity of FPS Mobile games in recent times, a mobile version of VALORANT might just become the next big thing.
