Sinatraa’s suspension may be ending soon, but he will not be returning to his old team per Shahzam.
Jay “Sinatraa” Won’s six month competitive suspension per Riot Games is soon approaching its end. By September, Sinatraa will be able to rejoin the competitive VALORANT scene. Sentinels team captain and IGL, Shahzeb “ShahZaM” Khan, revealed on stream that the team had no intention of putting Sinatraa back on the starting squad. During this suspension, Sinatraa remained a content creator for Sentinels, however his time with the organization may be coming to an end.
Months ago, Sinatraa was the subject of several allegations of sexual assault from an ex-girlfriend. Primarily revealed during his stint in the Overwatch League, the accusation came with several photographs and audio clips. Sentinels immediately took Sinatraa off of the starting roster and replaced him with one of VALORANT’s best players, Tyson “TenZ” Ngo.
The investigation took several months before anything was revealed, but a failure to cooperate left Sinatraa with a 6-month competitive ban. While Sinatraa was still actively playing VALORANT during this ban, he has virtually been left out of the VCT entirely. It is currently unknown whether or not Sinatraa will pursue another team now that his suspension is lifted and he is given the option. During his time as a player, Sinatraa was one of the high-points of the Sentinels squad. His extended time away from competitive, paired with the notorious accusations that now follow him, may severely hinder his chances or even desire to find a new organization.
