Whenever a new game comes out and gains traction, people look to their favorite streamers for their opinions on said game. With the hype around New World, Michael “shroud” Grzesiek gave his opinion on the good, … And the bad.
So far, the good outweighs the bad. Shroud has been playing New World. A lot. He even turned down the Sh*tcamp kickball tournament so he could keep playing the new MMORPG. This has given shroud enough playing time to give his opinion on the game, which he labeled as “neat”.
But as much as he enjoys the game, there’s one thing he feels New World completely missed the ball, and that’s the UI. “ but I can tell you it’s not made for a mouse and keyboard,” he said during a livestream. “The game is great, it’s interesting. It’s just got a bad UI”.
“The amount of times it’s difficult to trade somebody, the amount of time it’s difficult to whisper somebody, .”
Keeping track of everything in the clunky chat feed is a challenge of its own. Shroud did realize the developers will clean up the UI, but that it would take time. The long queue times and other bugs that have plagued the game since launch are, understandably, much more urgent.
Until that time, shroud has no choice but to endure the bad UI.
