Streamer Dr Disrespect is looking to start his own game development studio

Guy Baehm, which is the real name of Dr Disrespect, posted a job listing on Twitter, where he’s looking for someone in the studio head position to potentially found and start up the company itself. ”If you have built and run a gaming studio or publishing arm, understand what it’s like to hire, lead, motivate and support a team of gaming artists, designers and developers, love trying new and upcoming platforms and tech, can talk hours about core gaming loops, meta and are not afraid to dabble in data, then this might be the role for you.“

According to the job listing, Dr Disrespect aims to make games in collaboration with some of the biggest influencers out there. “Dr Disrespect in partnership with BoomTV is taking the game industry by storm and incubating a new AA/AAA gaming studio that has a unique twist to it. The studio plans to forge a partnership with a select list of mega influencers and then work closely with them to launch their dream gaming title.“

It’ll be interesting to see if anything comes from these big plans, as Dr Disrespect got pretty known for talking big. In any case it does seem like he’s got a solid idea of what he wants to do, also having prior experience himself, and if he can find the right partner, we might actually see it go somewhere.
