Hu “SwordArt” Shuo-Chieh joined TSM just a year ago, but is reportedly leaving the organization already, despite signing a massive two-year deal when he joined last offseason. Sources told this to Dot Esports.
TSM went through a rough year where they did not win the 2021 Mid-Season Showdown ór Summer Playoffs, and additionally not qualifying for Worlds 2021. SwordArt played support for TSM during the whole season, but could not make a difference. It looks to be one of the reason to leave the team earlier than planned.
SwordArt ‘walks away’ from 3 million dollars, since the deal he signed involved earning 6 million dollars in two years. Leaving after one year of course halves this number. SwordArt joined TSM after a very succesfull Worlds 2020 run, where he made it all the way to the finals with Suning. Unfortunately that is where they fell short against DAMWON Gaming.
The news of SwordArt follows the update from TSM where they announced that Bjergsen is leaving the organization after 8 years. The legendary midlaner took a step back and coached the team during the 2021 season, but will return to being a player next year.
