Team Elephant sign rOtK

While the teams at the Major are still duking it out, others, who failed to qualify, are gearing up for the second season already. Team Elephant started as one of the biggest all-star teams ever assembled, combining legendary names like Xu “fy” Linsen and Lu “Somnus丶M” Yao with Zhang “Eurus” Chengjun and Zhou “Yang” Haiyang.

However they did not roll over the Chinese region as many expected and even missed the qualification to the Singapore Major.

Can rOtK unleash the full potential of Elephant?

In order to strengthen the squad for the second season of the Dota Pro Circuit, Elephant have now attached another legendary name to their squad. Bai “rOtK” Fan will reunite with his former Vici Gaming teammates Yang and Eurus to lead Elephant back to the top. According to their official Weibo announcement, rOtK will take over as head coach with prior coach Chen “Xz” Zezhi staying on as assistant coach. Although rOtK has not been active since his last contract with Vici Gaming ran out in September 2020, his prowess remains without doubt.

Under his coaching Vici Gaming had been one of the world’s best teams with two Major titles as well as a Top 6 finish at The International 2019. With all the starpower assembled on Team Elephant, he will be eager to repeat his performances and lead Elephant not only to the second Major but also The International later down the year.

The second season of the Dota Pro Circuit 2021 China is set to begin after the Singapore Major around Mid-April. Until then Team Elephant will have more than enough time to integrate rOtK into their roster.
