Team Liquid coach Jason “Moses” O’Toole was announced via twitter that he would be parting ways with the organization.
Earlier in the day, on April 3rd, the official Tam Liquid CSGO Twitter account announced that their coach, Moses, would be leaving the team. In their post, Team Liquid cited Moses as being a “rock” for the team when they needed it most, most likely reference the turbulence most NA teams have suffered during the online era.
The former Team Liquid CSGO coach originally signed with the organization in late August, around the same time the team had replaced Nicholas “nitr0” Cannella with Michael “Grim” Wince. Under his stewardship, Team Liquid most notably made back to back grand finals appearances at ESL One Cologne and DreamHack Open Summer.
The roster progressively saw greater change as TL’s results worsened, Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken moving to FaZe and being replaced with Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo. Though finding mixed results since this most recent roster change, Team Liquid have made it clear that they intend on remaining in Europe for as long as competitive scene demands it. Whether or not this played a role in Moses’ ultimate decision remains to be seen as the former Team Liquid CSGO coach has not made an official statement yet.
The coach whom Moses initially replaced, Eric “adreN” Hoag, has been rumored to return to the team. Under ardeN’s leadership, Team Liquid saw perhaps their best player and most notably winning the Intel Grand Slam in only 63 days.
