In the video Teeqo talks about how he actually believed that the coin would succeed and that he didn’t sell off any of the tokens he had to quickly make a lot of money, like a lot of the others who were involved did. “I can’t believe people would think I would do this and not let people say my part, share my story. I wish you could see this from my eyes. I wish I could show you.”
The YouTubers that initially broke the scandal, such as Coffeezilla, and further investigated everyone did suggest that Teeqo may be innocent. Teeqo goes on to say he believed in the project and didn’t have bad intentions going into it. “I never worked on this coin, I never planned anything, I swear on my family. The only reason I was a part of it was because there was a charity aspect of it.”
Teeqo also goes on to say that he believes FaZe Clan itself had nothing to do with the whole situation and that the scandal came from individual members. “FaZe always gets the blame, FaZe is always the bad guy, like they were behind everything, like people aren’t still individuals. . . I am innocent, but those people did nothing, they didn’t even f*cking know about it until it hit the fan.”
