Tfue and FaZe Clan settle their lawsuit

Professional esports organization FaZe Clan and popular Fortnite streamer and player Turner “Tfue” Tenney have settled their contract dispute. Both parties were involved in a lawsuit surrounding a contract dispute about sponsorship deals, prize money and other payments.

The dispute itself lasted well over 15 months but has now come to an end, with both FaZe Clan and Tfue reaching a settlement and writing a statement that was obtained by Forbes. “Faze and Turner Tenney are pleased to announce they have resolved their disputes and settled their litigations. The parties wish one another the best of luck in future endeavors.” Both parties were unavailable for further comment and the settlement fee was not disclosed.

A little more than a month ago the original complaint that was filed by Tenney was dismissed by a judge, but the lawsuit of FaZe against Tenney for breach of contract and false claims was still on for trial on October 5. Now the suit was settled ahead of the trial after FaZe suffered some blows to their case, making a settlement the better option.

Tenney is no longer part of Faze Clan and is once again a free agent. He’s free to join another team and enter sponsorships as he sees fit. As of now Tfue is still one of the most followed creators on Twitch and YouTube with 8.9 million followers and 12 million subscribers respectively.
