The 5 best Apex Legends characters for casual play
Apex Legends is a great game for casual and competitive gamers alike. The ranked modes give ample opportunity to hone your skills against equally skilled opponents while the casual modes are perfect to wind down after a stressful day.
It stands to reason that team compositions aren’t necessarily the same between the queues.
Below are, in my opinion, the five best champions to play in casual play.
Wraith
The staple in both competitive and casual queues. A champion with a plethora of skins to show off, and with a tactical and ultimate ability that can get you out of harm’s way in a heartbeat.
Horizon
Every champion in Apex Legends gets impacted when they fall, but not Horizon. Her passive ability reduces collision impact and allows her to slide over the terrain upon impact. Her tactical Gravity Lift lifts players upwards. Ideal to escape situations you don’t want to be in.
Pathfinder
One of the original characters in the game. His ultimate Zipline Gun is a perfect piece of utility to outrun a moving circle or to quickly get to places that would take too long to traverse otherwise. His tactical Grappling Hook is amazing for getting you out of undesirable situations, or, if you’re feeling frisky, trying to grab opponents and reel them to you.
Octane
Very fun champion to play. With his tactical ability, he’s able to inject himself and move faster for a short amount of time while his passive ability regens your health. His jump pad for an ultimate is an ideal engagement or withdrawal tool.
Bloodhound
If you’re a newer player, Bloodhound is a good choice. They’re a tracker, and their passive allows them to see enemies’ footsteps, and pretty much any other action performed by an enemy up to 90 seconds after they’ve occurred. Their tactical ability scans an area and reveals enemies and their ultimate enhances their senses. This means that their tactical ability recharges faster. Their speed is increased during this time as well.
