Halo Infinite has been doing amazingly well over the past few weeks, as people are loving the game and the competitive scene has picked up quite a bit of steam as well. Now the game has launched another event in the form of the Halo Infinite Winter Contingency event, which is relatively short but completely free. You can gain rewards by gaining XP and completing event challenges.
How long is the Winter Contingency available?
The Winter Contingency Event won’t be available for all that long, as it’s set to end on January 3. That means players only have roughly 12-13 days to complete everything they want, but as the content within the event is relatively limited, that should be enough time for you to grab everything.
What rewards are there?
As the Winter Contingency event is seasonal, a lot of the rewards are of course themed towards winter and Christmas specifically. In total there’s 10 different ranks featuring rewards, the first being the ‘Wild Justice’ nameplate at rank 1. At rank 2, 5 and 8 there’s the Peppermint Laughter coating, which you can unlock for the MA40, MK50 and the Mark VII armor. At rank 3-4 you can unlock the left and right shoulder pads for UA/Tatius, while there’s an epic backdrop called ‘Snowmageddon’ to be unlocked at rank 6.
At rank 7 there’s the ‘Navlogcom’ nameplate and the Myesel Ammo Pouch at rank 9. Everything leads up to rank 10, which is the final rank, and features the Sunset Contessa armor coating.
