The PPSh-40 has gotten an undocumented buff in the recent patch to Warzone and has turned into quite the weapon in the Battle Royale. It is not yet clear if it is a bug or an intended change.
Random Find
After plenty of balance changes in Warzone for season 2 the players have had some time now to discover the meta. JGOD has now made an interesting discovery regarding the Russian SMG PPSh-40.
The change was not noted in the patch notes, so it might just be a bug and subject to a fix in the future.
“There is no reason to not run that gun”
In his YouTube video JGOD analyses the “new” PPSH-40 and compares the pre-patch values to the current ones. His results are a phenomenal TTK of 419 milliseconds. Considering that most “strong” guns have a TTK between 500 and 600 milliseconds a value of almsot 400 is absurdly strong. As long as the change does not get reverted you really should take the PPSh-40 in every loadout you are using. Especially in close quarters the SMG is almost unbeatable and will shake up the entire meta.
