The ban was sudden and quite unexpected, as the Brazilian is one of the biggest names on Twitch right now. Gaules has become the most-watched Twitch streamer in the world and as the news of the ban leaked out, fans were in disbelief, scrambling to find the reason why he might have been banned from the platform. As usual, Twitch hasn’t disclosed the reason behind the ban yet.
Gaules became popular mostly due to his CS:GO content and livestreams, growing extremely fast by co-streaming some of the biggest CS:GO tournaments in the world. A while ago he secured a deal with the NBA, allowing him to co-stream certain matches in Brazil. According to some, the reason behind Gaules’ ban is him starting up the NBA costream without any geographic restrictions, which would be a breach of the contract he has with the NBA as he can only stream it for Brazil. This news hasn’t been confirmed, however.
Gaules himself doesn’t seem to be all that worried about the Twitch ban and he quickly shared a popular Brazilian meme urging his fans to ‘stay calm’ while he and Twitch staff figures everything out. Chances are we’ll see Gaules streaming again soon enough.
