SK Gaming has announced its official roster going into the 2022 LEC season. In a comic book stylized video, SK revealed the five man roster to include Jenax, Gilius, Sertuss, Jezu, and Treatz. With new, returning, and familiar faces, SK Gaming hopes to build upon the fleeting success it saw in 2021.
Jenax, as well as the bottom lane duo of Jezu and Treatz will return to the roster. Although Treatz had a split long stint in the jungle position, the Swedish support will return to his primary role to re-join Jezu. Together, the two made up one of the more formidable bottom lanes in 2021 Spring while Jenax remained a steady pillar in the top lane.
Gilius will make his second appearance on SK Gaming. Years prior, Gilius filled in for Svenskeren during Worlds. Now, after several splits both in the LEC main stage and in ERLs, Gilius returns to SK. After an impressive split with Schalke 04, Gilius was booted from the main roster unexpectedly.
Sertuss will make his LEC debut in the 2022 Spring Split, as the 19-year-old midlaner has been called up from Misfits Premier. The German pro player will join the SK roster entering its fourth year in the LEC since its re-entry into the European main stage. With a new jungle and middle lane duo, SK Gaming is hoping to turn around its status in the LEC. The esports organization has only made playoffs twice since 2019, and is looking make a greater impact in the LEC.
