TSM announced on Twitter the final two pieces of its roster for the 2022 LCS Spring Split, Shenyi and Keaiduo. Alongside this, TSM announced several new members to its coaching staff. Former Hong Kong Attitude Coach, Chawy will join Peter Zhang, Kayys, and the rest of the TSM coaching staff.
Welcome Shenyi to TSM as our starting LCS support for 2022! #TSM@TSM_Shenyi was our first choice at support from the moment he entered our scouting combine. He showed us unparalleled proactivity, map control, and team coms, making him a key component of our team. Bring on '22. pic.twitter.com/2dKTVFN7DR
Shenyi will fill the vacant support position left by SwordArt. The Chinese player is coming from FunPlus Phoenix, where he played on the Academy roster while occasional alternating in the starting lineup during the regular LPL season. The 19-year-old support player joined FPX Blaze in 2020, and TSM will only be his second team.
Welcome Keaiduo to TSM as our starting LCS mid-laner for 2022! #TSM
@TSM_Keaiduo dominated our month-long scouting combine in Korea. He stood out as the top-performing mid-laner, bringing an aggressive look and crisp teamfighting. We can't wait for you to see him crush the LCS. pic.twitter.com/CFubFu4SAE
Keaiduo will make his LCS midlane debut on TSM. The 20-year-old midlaner is coming from Thunder Talk Young, a fellow LDL team. Keaiduo has never played as part of a starting roster, but will fill the void in TSM’s midlane.
Both players earned their spot at TSM during the organization’s month long combine in South Korea, where open tryouts were held. Both were allegedly top performers from the start of the try out period, and will now test their mettle on the biggest stage in North America.
This duo of Chinese players will join Spica, Huni, and Tactical as part of the starting roster. Former HKA Coach, Chawy is set to spearhead the roster and hopefully synergize this multi-national team.
