TSM FTX might be entering Free Fire – Why is it so popular?
Free Fire is still tremendously popular, especially in India, as TSM FTX might be looking to enter the scene in the future.
According to the most recent rumors TSM FTX will be looking to take over the Sixth Sense roster, which has been putting up some great results and has recently won out in the Free Fire Tri-Series 2021. There is however still no confirmation of the signing. The rumor was first reported by Sportskeeda. Earlier this month Team Liquid also announced a Free Fire event, with the finals coming up this weekend.
Mobile esports will have more viewership than pc within 5 years!
Free Fire has been soaring in viewership and players for quite a while now, with the Hindi stream of the Free Fire Continental Series alone gathering over 1,5 million people watching. Back in May of 2020 the game hit 80 million daily players, with Over 300 million people playing monthly. The Battle Royale game also became the most downloaded mobile game worldwide back in 2019 and is still going strong.
Western esports organizations looking towards the success of Free Fire and possibly entering the esports scene isn’t a surprise, as mobile gaming has been growing year after year and many mobile games sport an interesting and growing esports scene as well. TSM owner Reginald said in a tweet: “Mobile esports will have more viewership than pc within 5 years.”
