Twitch tightens rules against hate speech and harrassment

Twitch has tightened their rules against misconduct on the streaming platform. The new rules will go into effect starting in January.

On Wednesday the streaming platform officially announced their new stance on the matter.

Twitch’ new guidelines have redefined the framework of on what is allowed on Twitch. They are meant to combat an increase in harrassment of minorities on their website.

From warning to permanent bans

The streaming platform has also used extensive research within the community to formulate their new approach. Sanctions will now reach from warnings up to permanent bans in the future.
