Valkyrae shares thoughts on RFLCT drama, says she’s going to therapy

Valkyrae has been faced with a lot of criticism in the past month, as she launched her skincare product RFLCT, which according to many fans and other creators was a scam and made them question Valkyrae’s integrity as a creator. Now Valkyrae talked about the mental turmoil she’s been going through and how she’s been handling and dealing with the criticism that followed.

Now that RFLCT has been shut down, Valkyrae made her return to streaming after leaving the platform for a while (outside of a two-hour stream where she talked about the product). During her livestream she talked about how the controversy and criticism got to her and that she feared her career was over. She also said she’s been going to therapy to deal with the current situation. “I do think I have mental damage from this,” Valkyrae said. “I got very lucky in that there wasn’t a lawsuit or anything but I’m in a terrible mental place.”

Valkyrae went on to admit she made a mistake and is happy that the situation ended in a split rather than a lawsuit between her and RFLCT. “It’s been a big learning lesson. I’m going to be more careful with everything now, that’s for sure.”
