VALORANT: G2 Esports stay dominant, defeat Liquid at Red Bull Home Ground
In an interesting and exciting series, G2 Esports was able to take home the title against Team Liquid in the Red Bull Home Ground tournament.
The tournament saw some of the top European line-ups compete against each other, including G2 Esports, Team Liquid, Ninjas in Pyjamas and Guild Esports. FrenzyGoKill was able to qualify for the tournament, while the others were invited, but fell in the quarterfinals to G2 Esports. To qualify for the Grand Final, G2 beat Ninjas in Pyjamas with a 3-1 scoreline, while Team Liquid found themselves in a close call against SUMN FC with a 3-2 score.

I didn’t play up to my expectations this tournament, I’m so lucky I have my amazing teammates <3@Mixwell@G2zeek@G2Patitek@G2ardiis
The casual VALORANT fan received quite the series in the Grand FInal, which provided an interesting back-and-forth. Team Liquid took the lead with a 14-12 score on Icebox, but G2 Esports dominated on Split (13-6). This pattern continued on both Haven and Bind, leaving just Ascent to be played. Both teams started out equal on the final map, going into the half as the score stood at 6-6. G2 Esports was then able to run away with the victory, winning seven more rounds against Team Liquid’s four.
The series between G2 Esports and Team Liquid was interesting because both teams are seen as some of the best on the international playing field. G2 Esports especially has been coined the ‘best team in VALORANT’, which they once again proved during the Red Bull Home Ground tournament. There’s a lot to look forward to when both teams meet again.
