T1 continues to invest into their VALORANT roster. After the signings of former CS:GO-stars Braxton “Brax” Pierce and Keven “AZK” Larivière the Korean organization keeps trusting in Counter-Strike talent to succeed in Riot’s FPS.
On May 7th they announced the signing of Daniel “fRoD” Montaner as head coach for their VALORANT team.
Counter-Strike legend moves to VALORANT
fRoD has a storied past in the Counter-Strike scene as he won multiple championships in Counter-Strike as well as the Source-variant of the popular shooter. After ending his active career he worked in managerial roles before returning to the competition as coach for Swole Patrol and Lazarus among others.
Looking forward to replicate his past successes fRoD had the following to say:
“Excited about this opportunity and for all the future holds. Couldn’t have asked for a better org + better group to get this project going. Full steam ahead!!!”
Only few organisations have fully fledged rosters in VALORANT for now, but T1 certainly looks like one of the strongest prospects based on pure starpower alone. Although there are still two more spots to be filled many fans have already pegged T1 as frontrunner.
The current T1 VALORANT lineup is as follows:
- Braxton “Brax” Pierce
- Keven “AZK” Larivière
- Austing “crashies” Roberts
- TBD
- TBD
- Coach: Daniel “fRoD” Montaner
