Who are the best teams in Europe? – Team Liquid knocked out of the EMEA qualifiers
Fnatic and Team Liquid were the two EMEA representatives going into Masters Reykjavik. After having incredible performances abroad, their dominance was predicted to continue domestically. Neither team will be attending Masters Berlin, and the two stand to fall behind massively in the VCT Champions race should their rivals succeed. Acend, Supermassive, G2, and Gambit will all attend Masters Berlin.
Gambit knocks out Berlin – CIS dominating in VALORANT?
The CIS region has dominated across multiple FPS titles and may have finally found their footing in VALORANT as well. Gambit has been a consistent presence in VALORANT since the start, though now get to flex internationally after defeating Team Liquid. Even in their single loss against the former regional champions, Gambit put up a fight on every map.
Ayaz “nAts” Akhmetshin, one of Gambit’s newcomers and Cypher/Viper mains has had an incredible tournament personally. nAts has one of the highest K/Ds (1.34) with some of the most game impact almost every round. Gambit may still have a lot to prove, by defeating Team Liquid was a massive step for the organization.
The rest – Who is the best in EMEA?
With four Masters Berlin slots available, the entire region (not just EU) will see a great deal of representation across the various regions. Acend and G2 will represent EU, Gambit the CIS region, and Supermassive will carry Turkey’s flag in Berlin. All of the teams have shown incredible promise.
Acend has one of the single best individual players in the game currently. Mehmet “cNed” Ipek so far has heralded the highest ACS (281), K/D (1.57), and ADR (154). G2 and Supermassive have put on great series, but currently Acent stand as the team to beat.
