Who will be the first to qualify for Masters Berlin – Sentinels or 100 Thieves?
The North American Challenger playoffs started and narrowed down the potential first qualifiers for Masters Berlin.
The Challenger playoffs began as eight teams entered the fight for domestic dominance and the three spots at Masters Berlin. The Challengers finals are absolutely stacked with the most talented teams in North America. After Version1 failed to qualify, we are guaranteed at least two new domestic representatives. Sentinels have little to prove this tournament but their persistent success in VALORANT, aiming to qualify for their next Masters event. Teams like TSM, FaZe, Envy, and more are attempting to find their first LAN.
Sentinels or 100 Thieves – Who will be the first
Sentinels and 100 Thieves at different points have proven themselves as top tier competitors in North America. Both have star fraggers and a solid lineup to support them, although 100 Thieves have far fewer accolades. Still, with three open slots, 100 Thieves could be the first team to qualify for Berlin.
Both teams have absolutely dominant showings against their respective opponents, as Peter “Asuna” Mazuryk particularly had a standout performance on the day. Now, the two are slated to clash once again in a Bo3 to decide the first finalist and qualifier.
TSM fall early – Envy the new super team?
TSM came in hot after a stunning Challengers 2 run to place them in the tournament. Envy however bested the mostly veteran squad, as their new star-studded lineup as put them at the forefront of conversations regarding the best squads in NA.
TSM now have to face off against Rise to stay alive. Should TSM advance, they’ll potentially face off against Envy once again. Both teams are favorites to compete for a qualification spot but with so much talent, both teams will need to be at peak performance.
