Who will win the LCS? – These are the three teams left in the LCS Championship
When it comes to the team in the LCS that is playing the best League of Legends right now, that team is arguably Team Liquid. They breezed past Cloud9 and TSM without too many issues and only really struggled against 100 Thieves, where Team Liquid had to force a game 5, which they eventually won. This means they’re already locked in for the Grand Final. It’d be crazy not to view them as the clear favorites.
I’m not a fan of any region or team, I am just a fan of whoever is playing the best League of Legends in the world. And right now, that just happens to be the #LCS.
There’s a lot of stuff that backs up picking Team Liquid as favorites to win the LCS Championship however. Their bot lane continues to impress, with Tactical and CoreJJ boasting great synergy throughout their matches. With Santorin back in the jungle seat Team Liquid has sprung back to life, which also enabled Jensen to do his job a lot better. When it comes to individual talent in the top lane, Alphari has looked like the king ever since the playoffs started.
Cloud9 – Hiccups along the way
Cloud9 immediately fell to the lower bracket after taking on Team Liquid, a series in which they scraped up only one win. Criticism surely followed, especially aimed at mid laner Perkz who, according to fans, still had something to prove. Cloud9 did just that and breezed past Golden Guardians and Evil Geniuses in 3-0 sweeps and made a comeback against TSM to win out 3-2, moving on to the lower bracket final.
When it comes to their gameplay, Cloud9 can boast a lot of consistency. Fudge offers a lot of options in the top lane, capable of playing things like the Tahm Kench just as well as Gwen, while mid laner Perkz has stepped up his play to the next level, as evident by their wins against TSM. If Blaber has a good day (he’s arguably been struggling a bit ever since MSI), Cloud9 is a team to fear. Their bot lane also might not be flashy, but they’re for sure consistently impactful.
100 Thieves – New kid on the block
When it comes to legacies, 100 Thieves is the new kid on the block in the LCS and this might just finally be their split. After moving past Evil Geniuses, granted not without any difficulty, they met up with Team Liquid in a thrilling confrontation, which was eventually won by Team Liquid after they forced a fifth game. 100 Thieves will have to take on Cloud9 to move on to the Grand Final.
This week is all about Fortnite and one more #LCS playoffs match.
100 Thieves has carefully built its pieces over the past few splits and has some solid options. Top laner Ssumday remains one of the best players in his role in the LCS right now while their new mid laner Abbedagge, joining at the start of the split, has stepped up since joining the team. There’s a lot to love about 100 Thieves, who’ll be looking to keep their rise going and cement a name for themselves in the upper echelons of the LCS.
