Xyp9x might be leaving Astralis soon – where will he go?

Xyp9x first talked about his situation in an interview with Dexerto, saying he’s looking what’s out there for him as far as teams go and if he could potentially make a move once his contract runs out. In the interview Xyp9x said he loves Astralis but that he might make a move if a good opportunity presents itself. There’s of course also still the possibility that Astralis offer him a new contract.

His contract is not the only one running out at the organization, as Emil “Magisk” Reif and Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen find themselves in a similar situation. It’s currently unclear what Astralis’ plans are for the future and if they will even offer extensions. In the case of Xyp9x, he’s a legendary player over at Astralis, being a part of the organization since way back in 2016 and being a part of the current most successful team in the history of CS:GO.

It would seem Xyp9x is already in talks with other teams and the name of FaZe does seem to pop up awfully often when it comes to rumors, where he’d replace olofmeister. On the other hand it might also be interesting for him to wait things out and form an all-new line-up. There would certainly be an organization interested in picking him up.
